Hi Jimmy Page is a great player - steeped in the classic Yardbirds blues style. Most of his scales are straight pentatonic major or minor scales or a blues scale. A blues scale is basically a minor scale with a flat 5th Hope this helps. Page and Clapton particularly used pentatonics and blues scales only - their greatness related to their choice of notes rather than fretboard gymnastics. Both Ritchie Blackmore and jeff Beck were able to extend beyond those parameters, but whether they developed greater feeling than the other two is a debate that is worth having sometime Cheers
