That's it. The darned thing has stranded me on the side of the road for the last time. And of course the hubby is off doing naval duty this week. So there I am in the heart of Texas, at night, in po dunk town with the kids and, thank you god, a friend when then truck decides to quit. I have to hike two miles to our friends house who haven't turned the phone on yet since they just moved. Thank god he is a mechanic. Had to spend the night, and explain things to the boss, the kids schools, ect. Gety the thing fixed in the morning drive allthe way home and realize that I have left the house keys in Texas. That's it. Shoot that thing, put it out of my misery and Daddy will never find where we bury it in the backyard!!!

I'm sorry for the unpleasant night you experienced, it's never easy to be "broke down" but doubly hard when you have kids with you. I have been in this same boat with you for a while now. My husband's truck has been slowly but surely falling apart bit by bit over the last year. He has been so busy with work that he hasn't been keeping up with it. So I have to fill it with water and brake fluid before I go anywhere and then pray that when I turn it off at the store (or where ever) that it will start again. I have been stranded, with my son who is under two years, many times. Every time I get so frustrated that I call him on his cell and swear up and down, this is it! This is the LAST time I am going to stranded in this stupid truck! But, as usual, I end up driving the thing again and again without it having been fixed.

Most definitely, there isn't anywhere that I go that I couldn't drive a horse and buggy or carriage or wagon or whatever! I vote to bring it back, talk about low emissions!

I completely understand your frustration when it comes to cars breaking down. And it always seems to happen at the most inoppurtune times. I hope that you get it fixed and that it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

Luckily the friend that I hiked off to find is a mechanic and was able to fix it. But, this is the second time that truck has stranded me somewhere, GRRRR!

I'm sorry I cant stop laughing. You dont think he'd notice the ground tore up. I guess you could plant it in the garden. What a terrible night, but atleast you had friends to help. In a few weeks this will be funny even to you. Thanks for starting my day off with a chuckle and reminding me not to take everything so seriously.

It is funny, but the friend that stayed with the kids while I trekked off into the night is only twenty-one-- I think his plans to reproduce at soe point in his life might have been changed.
