I completely agree. My favorite quote, which is on my profile page is: There is a reason for all, but all cannot be reasoned. SO even though I believe that there is a reason for everything that happens, I think that sometimes you many never know the reason. It is great to try and figure out the reasons for things, but if you can't figure it out just accept that there was a reason and don't kill yourself trying to figure it out.

Of course it does! I don't believe in coincidence, just divine appointment. Even if it seems to us that there is no reason, God has perfect reason...His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts :-)

I believe that God has everything that happens in my life to happen for a reason. One example is when I was seeing a guy who turned out to only be hanging out with me to hook up with my sister, because of this I went to work at another store in south central arkansas to get it cleaned up and met my wonderful husband. SO I believe the heartache I felt and the betrayal was well worth it in the long run.

If you mean that everything that happens is part of some plan by some god, then I disagree. If that were true, then that god would be a real jerk.

Yes, there is a reason for everything. No coincidences, no chance happenings, no luck. Everything works according to destiny. That is why some people refer to praying as an act of madness. Anything that happens does so to fulfil a destiny or mission. Mark you, Judas Iscariot acted to fulfil Jesus's purpose of coming here. Nobody has a control over anything.

Yes, I agree. Nothing happens by chance. It happens for a reason. It might be unclear for the moment but eventually we begin to realize what the situation means to us.

There might be some truth in that statement but I cannot completely agree. We are responsible for so many things that happen to us. Example, if I eat poisen and die, we cannot say it happened for a reason, except as a warning for others not to eat poisen. A lot of things do happen for which we do not have answers and we do not always know why they happened, and I agree that a lot of these do happen for a reason, but not all. I do believe that God can use these things to the benifit of His Kingdom and His people. He can use any situation to inspire and motivate people. Thanks for this discussion, you got me thinking about a lot of things in my life. Blessings.
