Auntie

Growing up I never said aunt or uncle until I was 12 or 13 when I learned it was polite. Now I can't imagine not saying it. I have my 4 yr old nephew living with me and he does call me aunt and my niece (his cousin)is too small to talk, but my brother and SIL are Uncle and Aunt to him...I desire him to be polite in his life.

I have two beautiful nieces and they do use Aunt before my name. I love it. If they try using just my name their mother always corrects them. The first time my niece called me Aunt I was so happy. I will never forget that day.

Yes, she calls me Aunt and in her younger years she would spell it "ant", what a sweetheart she is to me.

My niece only talks a little bit (she's 2), and my nephew is too young to have started talking coherently (he's 1), so neither of them call me "Aunt." But I take great pride in writing "Aunt" on gifts for them, and I'm sure that as soon as they are old enough to figure out who I am, they will call me "Aunt."

Yes my nieces and nephews always call me Aunt first before my name. Now some of them are in there 20's and 30's and if they don't call me Aunt when they talk to me I just simply ask them what is my name before I will answer them.

Sometimes. They seem to go in phases, and I guess I don't really prefer one way or the other. I have special relationships with all of them, and I know they love me no matter what they call me that day. Just one of my nieces is consistent in calling me Aunt Suzi, and she's the one who is only a few years younger than I am, so I find it particularly amusing! for now, I'm just "kay-tee" but my neice is only 16 months old. I'd rather just remain Katie, instead of Aunt katie.

My hubby's side of the family they call me Aunt before my name. On my side, none of my nieces or nephews do. I don't know why, we were raised saying Aunt so and so.

most of them just call me aunt angie but 1 niece calls me auntie ang and sometimes aunt angie.

Yes I always get called aunty before my name, by all my nieces and nephews, even if I tried to tell them to call me by my first name, they wouldnt have it, because they are raised with respect and thats how it should be... But if one were to call me by my first name I wouldnt get offended at all...

seriously, they just calls me "aunt" or "tita" or "ninang"... they seldom called me by aunt then name.

I have 2 nieces, ages 3 and 1. The 3 yr old calls me Auntie and the 1 yr old calls me MOMO. Havent figured out why yet, but i like it. The 3 yr old calls me Auntie cause all of my aunts go by Aunt and then their names. I can get confusing to a 3 yr old cause we have alot of aunts.

I have two nephews. One is 5 and the other is about to turn 2. My 5 year old nephew calls me "Aunt RayRay". My name is rachel and i've been called rayray since before i could remember. I like hearing it. My two year old nephew calls me "mama". he calls most females he's close to that. I think in about a year he will be able to learn my name.
