indian cricket has been prosperous. we have many stars from the past but, when it comes to chose a coach for indian team why we look outside? its ridiculous to say but its true that india has no standards for cricket they will have to improve to compete teams like australia. and now i think the coach should be an indian if any one eligible.

My personal view point regarding this is that they need a coach who can improve their standard of playing, who has the ability to increase their fitness level on the field...We did not need any coach who believe in doing whole lot of stupid experiments like Greg Chappel had done in the past. Than be it an Indian coach or any foreigner we need somebody who can increase our standards of playing matching the levels of Australia or S.Africa...

No it is not the matter of that the coach should be an indian or an foreigner, India should get a coach who is capable of handling, and getting indian team to a good position, coach is not only the criteria for the team it is the team's performance,

India needs positive attitude on the field. Take cricket as a mere game and nothing else. Players should know that they are just players and got to perform when representing their nation. We, people of India are also responsible for India's poor performance. Public and media should understand the ground reality that these players are just like us.

As an Englishman and with an England Team coming to terms with the loss of South African - Duncan Fletcher a very popular Coach who had great success on the test scene & won the Ashes last year, there was a big parallel with your situation with the Indian Team. Our people have chosen Peter Moores who is probably pretty much unknown in much of the World, but is a well respected and innovative coach who guided a very ordinary looking Sussex Team to the County Championship in 2006. The big question for the Indian Teams' Management is have they got someone of similar ability or could it be Duncan Fletcher - they could do a whole lot worse!

india does need an indian coach!!! the indian civilization is the oldest one existing in this world,, it has been the heritage of the world... in india we do not encourage each others talents.. this is our biggest back drop... today in the world no one can beat india.. it is a vast democracy and will be one of the superpowers inthe coming few years no one can deny it.. even usa wont be anything in comparision to india... its is only china which we have to defeat in the sense of population and economy.. which we indians do know better then any one it the world... india is definately the best so indians are the only person capable to teach an indian team... thus india does need a indian coach..
