What are your suggestions for making this world a better place to live in?

Giving money to help famine stricken countries is ok. The only problem with that is the corrupt people that handles the money. Only a fraction of the money goes to the right place. The UN will need to police it properly to make sure this does not happen.

a good start would be the government getting a reduced wage and investing the money into healthcare and education but in reality it will never happen people are greedy sit back and complain how bad the world is but at the end of the day most peoople switch off and forget about it. action is the key to success while people with power take no action nothing will happen its very sad that people can sit back with the ablity to change things and are more worried about their pay check then their fellow man..

Smile, be friendly to others. Live BELOW your means, so that you have extra to help others in nay way you can. Take care of yourself and your own family, and then reach out to others in need. Set aside time to volunteer for local charities, set aside money in your budget to donate to charitable causes. Do some research on conservative living styles - like buying locally (to support your local farmer, adn not some huge conglomerate) reducing energy usage (which will reduce your bills and help sustain energy for your children to use) reduce the amount of waste you create in your household, and do the right things to help protect the environment.

the one best way to make this world a better place to live is not to do any thing wrong to anyone and not to think of wrong about anyone. and also help all.

It sure would be nice if we have the world peace adn everybody gets along just fine and help others without fighting but sadly to say it don't work that way.

The rich contribute a sum of his money to support the real poor.And the poor should work hard or immigrant to other place where there can afford them.People give others more trusts and mercy and care and love,then the world will be better.There will be less criminals.

for this world to become a better place, lets start peace within ourselves and expand it to our family, the root of all this is our family, if we will become successful how to have peace in our house, then we can make it to our community and we can share it to everyone.

yes, heatspine, there is such an imbalance in this world and there is nothing at all that we can do about it. long ago, there was a study conducted on how to feed the hungry by bringing unto them the extra produce of other countries. it came out that doing so so will be mighty expensive. they had to shelve the project and instead find ways to make them productive in their own. for my part, the best way that i can be of help will be by planting more and more plants and trees. more vegetation will mean aiding in the coming up of clean air for the atmosphere and in aiding in the water cycle to be kept at its normal path.

A lot of people have a lot of ideas but a lot of people do not want to put those ideas into action because of a lot of selfish reasons. Crime and corruption also plays a big role and make rich people sceptic to sow their hard earned bucks. I think before we start giving money, we start giving love for out of love all good things start.

Eradication of poverty,wiping out caste and distinctions,ensuring equal opportunities to all,proper education for all, restoring the dignity of the lower classes, kindling the spirit of love and care among the humans .....these are but a few of the things that will make this earth a useful place to live in .

i think, it will start with ourselves. Do positive things and Pray more... then it'll authomatically passed on to your kidz, family, community, friend and eventually to your country. It might be a looooooong long way but atleast u've started the change for a better world to live in.
