All day today everytime I go to myspace I see under Cool New People a new page about a presidential candidate. I think it's a good way for them to get there aagenda out to people who might not see them. I seen Hillary Clinton,John MCclain and some others. Do you think this will hurt or help them? What do you think about it? Will this change the way you feel come voting time???

Oh, definitely this could help the candidates! I can remember when former President Bill Clinton was running for president in the early 1990's. He went on MTV and other sites and played his saxaphone. And, he was a real hit with the college students. I've always been convinced that he had a strategy to get the younger vote. Not a bad move really. Certainly some of the Republicans could take a page from his notebook by trying to get their vote. And, I suppose the best way to do that would be to have a My Space page. My Space is a concept that appeals to many people, young and old. Fantastic question!

Why thank you beautyqueen. I agree I remember seeing Clinton on MTYV and I think with all the different ways to reach people nowadays it is a great way to really reach people whio you may not have been able to reach years ago.

It helps a new generation of voters to be informed about what candidates stand for before just running off to vote for whoever their parents think should be president.

For me, i think it's a great way to reach a younger group of people. I know for me, i spend more time on myspace then i ever would watching the news, presidental debates ect. For me i believe this reaches a large amount of people, with little campaining, and its free. I think it is great. I would much rather check out a myspace profile then watch the news. Sad but true.
