Let us continue examining the verses of the Bible and find out if they contradict one another. Let us read at once Matthew 17:1. It says— “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart.” In this particular verse, St. Matthew was narrating that, after 6 days, our Lord Jesus Christ brought his three disciples – Peter, James, and John – up into a high mountain. In other words, from Matthew’s account, it was after six days that our Lord Jesus Christ brought His three disciples up into a mountain. However, Luke 9:28 says— “And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, He took Peter, John, and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.” In this particular verse, St. Luke was saying that, after 8 days, our Lord Jesus Christ, together with His three disciples – Peter, John, and James – went up into a mountain to pray. Do these verses, that we have just read, contain contradictions? Matthew said, “after six days”, while Luke said, “eight days after,” our Lord Jesus Christ brought His three disciples up into a mountain. Are there contradictions in these verses? Let us ask our pastors, our ministers, the priests, and those who claim that they are apostles. They might know the answer. http://www.angdatingdaan.org/segments/seg_contra_2b.htm

Mathew says after six days Jesus takes takes Peter, James and his brother John and brings them up into the High mountain. Where as Luke says In actual fact, about eight days after these words,he took Peter, James and John along and climed into the mountain and prayed. So Mathew wasn't talking about after the words had been spoken like Luke was. That's why the amount of days is different.
