Any tips on how to get responders? / myLot

I've started several discussions on here, and received few responses thus far. I'm trying to figure out what kind of posts people respond to? Any tips?

your new here, and it's really hard to get responders if you are a new member..but dont worry girl, just add more friends then make new discussions that makes the members interested..just a simple discussions about our self, our environment, our home, our kids if you have, about relationships, etc.etc., just make fun here and you will see, after a month or so, you will have get more responders..goodluck!!:)

Thanks Cherriemae. I appreciate your words and ideas. I was just being impatient and worried. More than anything just getting a hang of this. Its a lot fun sharing stuff in this format.
