police mistakes!!!!!!!

i was arrested,,,for 3 hours and then relesed with no charges...i lost my last exam from college and now i have a bad grade,,,police gave me NO proff of the arrest,,and now i have no exuse to give to my teachers,,,,"what now?'
i would like to sue them for not reading my rights,,,take me from my car agressively,,,and looking into my car without my presence,,,and been in a cell for almost 3 hours.....
PEOPLE WHAT YOU THINK?????

No one can really give you legal advice unless they are an attorney. Seeking an attorney might be a good idea. As far as your instructor goes, you should be able to get a copy of the police report to give him/her, although I'm not real sure how well that's going to work as an excuse. From what you've said, it does sound as if your rights could have been violated, but it will be your words against the cop's. They may have mistaken you for someone else. You should be able to at least speak with an attorney to find out what recourse you have. My best suggestions is to look for a lawyer that offers free consultations and give a call. Good luck!
