Do you believe in witches?

In the Philippines, tales of witches hunting and/or scaring people are common thread from one region to another. Even in the highly urbanized Metro Manila, I could remember one news many years ago all about an "aswang" living in the metropolis. Much more in the provinces, these tales (whether true or not), served as good scary stories for children. Although nobody could strongly testify for sure of the existence of witches here in the Philippines, the tales continued to be viewed as having a strong possibility of being true. I myself have never seen a witch or an "aswang" flying over my head. Well, maybe in the cheap Pinoy horror movies. I am asking those in the provinces, what are the tales of darkness your place holds for many decades already?

i think and i believe this is already a thing of the past. I don't entertain any kind of superstitious beliefs anymore for i trust and rely on Him all the time.

Some people might find that absurd really and stupid, most especially in some countries but like what u've just said. Mostly filipinos tend to believe those, well i guess that's how we are built and raised by our ancestors. We do believe in so many superstitious beliefs, "aswang", "manananggal" and all those demon stuffs which i think are all created by playful minds of the pinoys. My province is Aklan and i was able to live there for like few years and thanked god, i didn't experienced anything at all. Whew! .... But i believe in white ladies. hehe! Saw lots when i was in high school. (",)
