I have had an opportunity of watching WOWOWEE when i stayed home for 2 months and i have observed lots of things and i just want to share my views and opinions. Firstly, being a Filipino and a citizen of this country i hate to see my fellow countrymen being very poor and though most of them go to wowowee in the hope to win money or just dance and be given money by the host Willie R. Why do they act like beggars? are we Filipinos that desperate?

They do that because that's what the people behind the show likes, for contestants to look crazy before giving them the money. Honestly I don't like that show specially the host, he doesn't look genuine to me. I think he's a great pretender.

i agree with you there..he is not genuine and he even insults his co-hosts plus the fact that he can't put his own life in the right track, he is just like the big boss of abs-cbn...they are all users and abusers of Filipino people.

One thing I hate about the show is how contestant sometimes cry on national T.V., slapping on the viewers face how poor they are and they should be symphatize. But I'm not against the contestants anyway.

i think the show is great though i agree that filipinos there act like mercenaries and beggars. but we cannot do anything about it. we are in such a crisis that filipinos are willing to do anything and everything to earn money. we can't blame them for acting like one. it's life instinct. let's blame those who are seated for not doing anything about it.

Yes we are that desperate in order to have or earned a few bucks for a day, its so frustrating to be the center of fun just to earn one, but atleast it was done in a honest way.

The show wowowee indeed gives a perfect picture of the poverty of the country. But honestly, I dont like the manner of giving money in that noon time show - I guess all the pointless dancing only lowers the people's character. Maybe Filipinos indeed are desperate.

I for one do not think that us Filipinos are desperate. I like to watch WOWOWEE because it gives non-weathly people a chance to win money to help their fortunes. I also like the part of the show when the contestants show off their talent.

i find it very entertaining. Sometimes when im just sitting on the couch watching i cant help to laugh whenever there is some funny situation. IT make me smile whenever when im not in mood. MOst importantly not just as very entertaining but as the sole purpose of the show is to help people. its the filipino people show and its very touching when people who joined the show are happy. THough we can see pity filipino people joining but in a way we can see the reality and the real people who striving just to win the game to help themselves and their families.

Not all of them actually act like beggars, they just want to have some fun and earn some money (lucky huh).

be it wowoweee or eat bulaga as long as these two programs could help alleviate the living conditions of our fellowmen thru participating in their gameshows that matters a lot for me. i should be very thankful for their efforts to help the needy. we have other tv programs which are sponsoring games for anyone interested to join thru texting. i see nothing wrong with these entertainment and game shows at all.

For want of easy money and instant gratification with very little effort, that's how I see it. They enjoy the show, they win. . that's instant money. Wowowee promises freebies to our countrymen, so they are desperately joining one contest after the other. Remember that stampede at Ultra? Proof of Filipino mentality of easy money by joining games of chance. can we blame them? It's needless to do that. We can always educate our people so that reliance on games for money will be minimized. .

There are just 2 instances here. The show must go on inviting poor people to join their games and win prizes, believing the fact that this is a great help. And another is, by joining these poor people, the show will rate higher because we simply know that filipinos are sympathetic and they will watch a show that shows sympathy to..........as you say.......desperately looking filipinos. Well, I am just stating my opinion...

it's not that they're desperate but it's really a big help to them too, if Willie and the staff of Wowowee would understand their situation, then many good-hearted people would be touched. It's just that if there won't be any Wowowee, no one won't be touched and won't help that much. It's even a good thing that they are really helping the people, then what's wrong with dancing and singing? evenif they are poor, they have talents too. It's a segment for the Filipinos and it's better because this time around..it's for the poor. For they are humans too worthy of recognition and to show that they are also good at something

To be honest, I'm not watching the show Wowowee much because of the same reason. I love the female hosts but not much of Willie because of his personal issues. I think Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon are more genuine hosts and watching Eat Bulaga means love and entertainment.

The real nature of the show is not just actually to give entertainment to its viewers but to reach out to the poor. We can't deny the fact that here in our country many are unable to eat even once a day. We can't even blame them why they act like beggars in this show. For me, it's good to know that there are still shows out there who are willing to help the poor.

its a game show with a purpose. but i hope that people who join wowowee wont just join gameshows as their living. they should do something more and they should not live by means of chance. too bad that in this country there are lot of filipinos that are still poor and little of those who are well off. its kinda shame for us, that some of our country men have to dance and make themselves a joke to have money. another point to ponder, if the producers of wowowee's purpose is to help the poor, they dont really have to make fun of these poor people. yeah, i guess many of us are really desperate to have even just a little amount of money.
