Sick of losing out on promotions

You got a good degree tacked under your belt. You communicate well with your officemate. You know you've done your best. In short, your eyeing that promotion knowing that you qualify for it and thus, deserve it. But your boss award it to somebody else.
All you can do is put on a fake smile and congratulate the promoted officemate and start calling him Sir or Ma'am. Not fair! But you have to live with it or resign on your job.

Unfortunately life is never fair. I'm sure that there are many people who feel that they derserve promotions and sometimes they are genuinely better than the people who were actually promoted yet they never get that promotion they deserve.
But they still have other options. They could choose to leave the company and try their luck elsewhere. Or they could set up their own company.

You are so right. Life can be quite unfair. But you have the choice of staying on the job and accepting your misfortunes or leaving and finding your niche or luck if I may add.
