of the discussions here at mylot getting boring.? When I first joined, the discussions were interesting to me, but lately i've found nothing of interest to reply to, so I haven't replied. I wonder if some of us are discussioned out, and have little left to start a discussion with. It would be nice to find a really thought provoking discussion though.

They are out there sweetie...you just have to find them. The more thought provoking discussions seem to not have as much traffic because more people seem to want simple discussions to respond to. Hmm...I guess those people are more into it for the pennies rather than for the conversations. But I think you might be burned out. ha ha I know you belong to other sites from our conversations. So, maybe you are getting burned out from going between different sites and are missing the shuffle of some good discussions. So you have your notifications on? Maybe you need a break. :) I know sometimes I do. But my break got me in trouble today with having an allergic reactions to some weeds I was pulling while doing yard work today. LOL I think I am safer staying on myLot. ha ha

Silly me had to go out there to finish the job I started today. ha ha And here I thought if I used gloves that I could keep the weeds at a distance and not have to worry about it. Nope! No such luck! :(

Yeap, I am on a few sites, I even made my own with a bit of help, they've all been fairly quiet lately though, mine in particular needs more members to get things moving a bit faster. I've got all notifications on, but for some reason they don't work most of the time, maybe that problem hasn't been fixed properly yet. By the way, sorry about the allergic reaction, I hope it gets better soon. Maybe we'll see a bit more of you for a few days.

Lol.. maybe there are only 100+ unique discussions and you have answered all of them. Give yourself a pat on the back then. You just need to find duplicates of that 100 and give the same answer in different words. HAHA :P

Yeah - I do that myself, just go into a very similar discussion, & then word it differently.

I don't think it's you. It seems that many of the general MyLot population are starting some off-the-wall discussions. As Gabs mentioned to me, I'll pass on her advice to you. Go through some of her friends' discussions, as she also chooses her friends carefully.

Crazy, I've two new male friends on my friends list. You may find their discussions interesting. I like to read my friends' discussions ( especially the female ones ). The discussions give me glimpses in their lifes in their countries. But most of the time I'm at a lost on how to make an interesting response to their discussions.

I think at times, the discussions do seem to be a little boring. Or, it could just be me, because they don't seem that appealing. I thought also when I first joined myLot that some discussions were really interesting, and others were the ones that asked silly questions. Such as, How many times do you brush your teeth?, What is your favorite color?, and other things along those lines. I did not like those at all, and I do not like them now. I think that is just another way to cheat. Anyways, I do think that the discussion here are getting boring. But, I have some good friends that have GREAT, thought provoking discussions that will make you rattle your brains. :D So, thanks to my friends that make me think!! :)

I'm finding a few discussions about the same thing, it can be good reading them a few times, but it gets a bit boring after a while.

I guess that since there are so many topics on mylot it's hard to find something to talk about which wasn't already discussed a lot. That doesn't mean that everything we could discuss is already written... If you sit in front of the computer thinking about a topic we could talk about you won't find a topic so easy.. at least if you really want a "thought provoking discussion" and not only a 2 cents discussion...

I think those topics would be classified as controversial, especially if politics or religion were involved.

This site can't getting boring. If you find boring discussions it's time to add to your interest catogories. thats what I did today and now I have more choices. New feature here is you don't have to type in your catagories, now you can browse through them and add them.

I have to agree with you!! I have been trying to get my earnings up since the end of the month is almost here, and I have to look and look for something that is interesting to me so I can post a comment. It is frusterating, but I have tried to start my own discussions and do my part to give others something to respond to =)

I don't know. I haven't been here long enough to give a definitive answer. I do know that on some days I can find plenty to discuss which is interesting. Sometimes, though it is not easy to find anything interesting. Perhaps some people have discussed it all before, and over again, and they get bored. Some days are better than others, that's for sure.

One thing I have noticed, and that is that theres a lot of similar topics here. It makes me wonder how many different answes there are to one ropic, or a similar topic.

I agree with you but I think that we have answered what we were interested in and when I arrived there were so many old posts I could respond to and now there are only new posts because I have already responded to interesting old ones so now I have to choose between new ones only. I don't like to argue with people so I don't reply to those discussions where people try to prove their point. That makes it much more difficult to find posts to reply on. I start a new discussion when I have something interesting to talk about.
