Do you think the punishment for drunk driving is strict enough? I just read in our paper today that a dad let is 4yr old sit in his lap and drive...the dad's alcohol level was 3 times the legal limit! They ended up crashing into a tree. Thankfully they weren't killed and didnt kill anyone else, but both are in the hospital. It went on to say that the dad already didn't have a license to begin with. He is so lucky his child wasn't crushed between him and the steering wheel. What are your thoughts on drunk driving?

I personally do not think that the laws concerning drunk driving are strict enough. They are not enforced enough either. More often than not the drunk driver that is caught is just given a warning or cheap ticket. I think they should be punished to the point that they do not want to get behind the wheel while drinking again. Too many people are killed unnecessairly from drunk drivers. I had a friend who lost her mother and her aunt to a drunk driver. The case took 5 years to be held in a court and then the driver only lost his license.

I think if you are ever caught drinking while driving then your license should be permanently suspended. Most people don't learn until a life is lost. My father has had a DWI when he was younger but he still hasn't learned his lesson. When it comes to drinking people may think they know their limits but in reality, you're a threat to society.
