Send in your gold, get money! Is it real?

The new commercial on TV says they will send you a free bag for all of your old gold. Send it in and you will receive money! Has anyone here actually done it? Did they really send you money? I think they should say how much per ounce they'll send and then do a certified/sign on receipt deally on the package. I think they're fake.

Not really fake so much as not really worth it. They will pay you a fraction of what the gold might be worth in actual value. Since this is generally gold in jewelry it is not the same as pure gold holdings (a lot of 10k crap out there). If you have useless gold jewelry sitting around its a substitution for the pawn shop but nothing more than that.
