do birds of the feather really flock together?

so the saying goes, but wouldn't that run rather inconsistently with the maxim, "opposites attract"? your thoughts, please...

That is a very interesting observation. Only one can be true - and I think that it depends on the situation. I have seen examples of people who stick together because they share the same interests and I have seen people who share no interests, but have a wonderful relationship. So, we still do not know which maxim holds the most truth?!?

well, because my friends and i, well, we don't exactly share the same interests, yet we still stick together.
