Cheaters in mylot.

There are always going to be cheaters. But I think most programs these days have the necessary means to catch them. Along with help from the members, that makes it even better. The more ways they find to cheat, the more ways programs will find to stop them.

I also ran across this yesterday and sent a message to MyLot to check into it and I believe they have been . Many of the discussions started by the perpetraitor have been taken off of his list of discussions started . We all need to stick together about cheaters such as this as it is not fair to the one who did all the work and then someone else reaps the benefits of his hard work . This was the first time I have run into something such as this but individuals taken advantage of MyLot should be banned from the site in my opinion as it is not fair to those that answered either not realizing they were answering to a cheater as they may end up losing money on their posts as they were removed . This particular individual is making it hard on everyone and I hope MyLot can take measures to prevent individuals from being able to do this in the future :)

Just keep reporting them. I had seen one person copy and paste the same answer for anything having to do with abortion. She got reported and all of those posts disappeared. Just hit the ! button

I haven't had any problems with people copying my posts-that I know of anyway. I do know a couple of my friends who have had a problem.I just responded to a friend's post who had a cheater that had his account deleted come back under another username.How bold can you be?

erm.. so far i haven't met any mylot members that copy my writing.. i think i'm still considered lucky.. the problem is when they copy our writing.. mylot staff need to take some time to identify who's the true writer.. right? .. i think we should just report abuse whenever we notice such member posting in a discussion.... we cannot let this happen as this will tarnish mylot reputation.. and mylot will have problems explaining to their sponsor.. thus.. resulting less earning for us.... i really hope to see mylot continue for a few more years so we can make a part time living here =)

That is outright unfair. One discussion on this issue, on one thief in particular, that received more than 8 pages of responses have just been deleted. Not sure who initiated or suggested the deletion. And, one of my lengthy post on how to deal with such hardcore cheaters is lost as a result. Anyway, I think myLot admin should take steps to ensure that this things do not happen with utter frequency, or it is gonna really upset & demoralised the many myLot'ers who originally started their discussions. And, those valued myLot'ers who have genuinely contributed to this community will soon realise themselves receiving less and less rewards (i.e. points and earnings) from their efforts. I think any member who discovers someone else who is ripping-off theirs or other people's discussions (and have sufficient proof to post or elaborate) should start a new discussion immediately, and tag it 'cheater alert' to let the others know. Then, based on what the other members believe to be the truth, they can post a reply and rate the discussion as either '+' or '-'. You myLot'ers guys and gals agree?

Cheating is wrong and what I do when I have come accross a person like that on a discussion I hit the ! box as that is for reporting the person. You then explain what you are reporting and no one knows you reported it. The - sign only gives them a negative response, but the ! is for reporting. I also report the cheaters who write a discussion that is nothing or just a one liner. I seen a person who did over 60 discussions and there is no way to respond to them as they are just writing things that you can't respond to, they are getting paid for the post is all.. So if everyone would report these people by using the ! MyLot will delete them and ban them from the site, plus they earn nothing...

i hate that kind of men, to steal someone's idea, it's called intellectrual property, right? besides, he does nothing to increase his earnings, i suggest mylot delete that kind of id!

I don't think so that we can't do copy and pasting it here. The system would not allow you for such activity and if you try to do it, it shows you some error message. Have you checked it or not, if not please try it now.

dear manvik,what kind of cheating r u talking about...copy or paste from mylot or from any other site? but copying from other website having information abt that subject is allowed here..isn't it. I too have seen people copying but never said or thought anything bcoz mylot allows it so why should we tensionise.

mylot has to take action on it. there is a need to ban the guy from this site. i hope to see it happen soon and quick. this will give justice to the guy who has been cheated time and again. that guy is a confirmed cheater and he has no business being around with us. we are doing it honestly here, that is, for most of us.

Sometimes people do the same discussion at the same time. It doesnt meant they are are cheating. But I know what you mean about cheaters. They are on this site and all over the place. It sucks.

Hi friend what i think is that you need to have some patience in this matter, i seen so many cheaters in my life, and i have also found that at last they lost the hole game, and are out of it, so donot worry continue the way you were doing your work, or in other words enjoy, and be honest, like the way you are. so be innovative and create new discussions on mylot, which nobody can make, best of luck on mylot.

Can't an admin ban them?

I do agree when you say that those who work hard should be the ones rewarded.. Because why should those people be rewarded when they write the post themselves. Its not right i to have seen these posts in the past..once i answered the post and a then a few hrs later my hubby answered the same post.. but the only thing was it was by two different people.. The wording and everything was exactly the same.. We couldn't figure out who posted it first.. we figured it had to the one that was posted longer.. So i just hope this is getting better and we don't see that many copycats.. :)

yeah that really sux..i think we all should take action and turn all the cheaters in when we can as much as we can.

Yes, I have and anyone who copies and pastes will eventually be gone with no money. Anyone who challenges mylot is asking for trouble big time. My lot doesn't take kindly to such things They will be banned and all their money lost. I report anyone who abuses the system. because it doesn't help the hard working and true people here.

I haven't had anyone copy and paste any of my discussions or responses that I know of. Of course, thats not to say that it's never happened. If I see someone who has copy/pasted another discussion, I hit the report button. When someone abuses the Mylot rules and regulations, I report them, but at the same time, I don't go looking for them. I'll report as and when I come across what I see as abuse and cheating the rules.

Yeah I know that cheating is a violation but still many of our co mylot members here is doing that. They really must be punished for doing so. Mylot should take immediate actions on that for its becoming worst and worst everyday. we must take good steps here in mylot and cheating is very bad and can make your reputation bad so why cheat if you can earn by a decent way right? we must act now.

what i s a cheater? how do we define it? how do we patroll a vast web land like myLot. That its the problem. it is almost impossible to have a system in place tocheck out if you are cheating or not. It is a matter of principles. do not worry thisgs will be ood in the ned with cheatres included
