Did you like History Books?

i like History books.I have read the world History by HG wells.It is a comprehencive report on the various civilizations in a seril order. I like history because what happens today in any part of the world has deep connection with its past History. Without knowing the past back ground it will not be possible to comprehend the happenings of today. One example is Israel. How did israel come about? why do the Arabs are deadly against Israel? why USA strongly supports Israel? To understand this one has to go back to 1st world war and its effect on German economy.The role of Jews, rise of Hitler and persecution of Jews etc. Currently I dont have any History books. You can search in the 2nd hand book shops where they will be available at throw away prizes.

I just love history and the stories that are in the books about them. My favorite ones are about the Romans and the Greeks. I don't own any history books now, but someday I'll get them.

I like world history because you get know about the development of man as he goes through different periods, interacting with other men and experiencing different environments. History can give us enough wisdom and knowledge to avoid past mistakes made by our predecessors. Also, on a lighter note, history gives us a colorful recreation of how man started, how he established civilizations and how he strove to make his life better. I have a few history books. You might try your local bookstore or try browsing online stores to see if you like a certain book.
