I think a movie is always a good first date. That way you don't have to worry about talking so much and can get used to being together. After the movie, maybe stop someplace for ice cream, or a drink. A lot of it will depend on your age.

Thanks for your response,a movie and drink sounds like a good idea for the first date.

It is a long time since I had a 'first date'. My husband and I have been married for over 21 years. Hey, actually it is 22 in a couple of weeks. We tend to not celebrate much as money is tight and my birthday is shortly afterwards but I digress. My children are teenagers but have not started 'dating' yet. They tend to go out in groups. They went to a mixed school so the groups have boys and girls in them and they all get on well together. I expect these days they would still go out in the group but be closer together. I am glad I don't have to do that again.

Wow you're 22 years married, thats a long time.Yeh the teens seem to have a good sense to go out in groups, its safer and thats whats being young all about really-friends and having good, clean fun. Its a challenge to have to "date" again but thats the life, its full of challenges and seldom boring.Happy Anniversary magicamerlin.
