Rainy Day...

So it has been a rainy day here, it stormed all night and it was great!! But now that school is out and my daughter is home her and my son are bored in the house. EW always go outside as soon as she gets home from school, but today is too icky out. WE did play outside for a little while but it is too wet and muddy everywhere. So we are all bored and looking for stuff to do...it is suppose to be like this for the next three days =)

Oh I am soooo jealous of you right now! I miss the rainy days and thuderstorms I used to love in Kansas. Here in New Mexico we don't get many rainy days and even less thunderstorms :-/

Oh fun fun- Plan some fun things to do inside-Crafts together- Most kids love crafts- How about baking cookies or something like that for after dinner. Grab a board game and play- You didn't say how old your kids were- But is there a game you can play together- the 3 of you? If it's not to ucky out go outside-- what can it hurt? I love to play in the rain. I like it a bit warmer though-- Have fun finding things to do!

It's good that you are enjoying with kids. But as you are getting bored I can suggest you two games to play with kids.
-Hide the object: You hide an object and they have to search and find it. That will keep them busy for a while. You should actually hide a few objects so if one of them finds it, they can keep looking for the other objects.
-letters: Let them write letters to family members and then have them put them in an envelope so they can mail it off. They will enjoy that. Maybe get in touch with that person and see if they will send a letter back to them. It's always fun to get mail.

I don't have any idea about their age so I suggested these two games which can be played by kids below 10 years.
