The Cavaliers really need another scoring threat or threats from both inside and outside. If Lebron is struggling, they need someone who can attract the defense or someone who can fill up the scoreboard from the painted area. A player who can make the right plays and the right decisions on crunch time. Yes, Lebron can do all of this but he needs a shoulder to lean on, a partner in crime, a reliable team mate. The Cavaliers have good players but at times, they are not consistent. Z can score 10+ points in the first quarter but on the succeeding quarters, scoreless. Hughes has good nights and bad nights. Eric Snow is not the youngest anymore. Gooden not really a prolific scorer. They really lack consistency if Lebron is not performing well. If i were to pick players for the Cavaliers to choose, I would have a Kevin Garnett or a Shawn Marion inside that painted area while a Baron Davis or Chris Paul to make plays or even score. Now, that's one great team to have.

I say they should dump Eric Snow. He hasn't been good for the Cavaliers, and neither has he been for the Sixers. I think Steve Blake of the Denver Nuggets is going to be available in the offseason. Perhaps Cleveland should make a move to sign him.

The Cleveland Cavaliers need a good inside player, first and foremost. They already have good mid-range and long-range shooters in LeBron James and Larry Hughes, but in the paint, they don't really carry that much of a threat. Anderson Varejao just isn't good enough (although I must admit he has given good contributions to the Cavs this season), Zydrunas Ilgauskas is getting old and can't play uptempo-style basketball (a big man who can keep up with the pace James and Hughes are capable of would be a very nice addition to the team). Drew Gooden, on the other hand, was supposed to fill in for the slot Carlos Boozer left when the latter went to Utah, and though he can contribute offensively, a more solid, all-around power forward should help the Cavaliers immensely, and here I'm talking about an Antawn Jamison-type of player who can get boards, attack the paint, and pull up for a jumper from mid-range. At the point guard position, I'd say the Cavaliers would benefit from a very fast player (someone who can run faster with a ball than James and Hughes) who can distribute the ball well, someone like Tony Parker, Luke Ridnour of the Seattle Supersonics, or Speedy Claxton of the Atlanta Hawks.
