Judging people

I am noticing more and more that people judge you on how you talk. Do you have a country accent, foreign accent, etc.? I am asking because I was thinking about it from a radio show I listen to each morning. They were talking about how we tend to judge people based on how they talk as to how intelligent they are and how "dumb" they are. So , do you tend to do that? If so, what assumptions do you tend to make before you know someone?

If I listen to someone, it depends on how he says it and what he says rather than his accent. So if he talks like a slob, curses a lot, burps, make rude sounds, and generally talks crash, I tend not to think he's a nice person. It is not about dumb or intelligence, it is about making a good impression.
