Oven Barbecued Baby Beef Ribs

1 1/2 to 2 pounds baby beef ribs 4 green onions, chopped 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard 1/2 to 1 cup beef broth 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons chili sauce dash freshly ground black pepper Wipe ribs with damp paper toweling. Place single layer in shallow roasting pan. Roast at 450F for about 20 minutes. Drain off fat. Meanwhile, prepare sauce by sauteing onions in butter until tender. Blend in flour and mustard. Cook 1 or 2 minutes. Stir in beef broth, lemon juice, chili sauce and black pepper. Cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring, until sauce is smooth and thickened. Brush sauce over ribs. Return ribs to oven. Bake 30 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally with the sauce. Good served with: baked potatoes, buttered cauliflower, tomato and lettuce salad. serves 4

This sounds very interesting and a better alternative to grilled baby ribs. Thanks for sharing this! I want to fix this for our regular Sunday dinner.

Sometimes you just need to come in out of the rain. I prefer my ribs this way actually. At least they don't fall onto the charcoals!!

Now this is what I call a wonderful recipe that I certainly shall be making a copy of and buying the ingredients for as we love beef ribs and it will certainly warm us up for these cool nights ahead of us. Also I shall be giving you a + rating for such a delicious recipe thanks xx
