i use all of these email services. I think the one i would consider the best is gmail - mainly due to its easy search function. but i rarely use my gmail accounts. I use hotmail because that's the address of my msn and I can't be bothered transferring my list to a gmail msn account. Yahoo mail is what i use for all my junk mail :)

gmail works best for me right now. I think the conversation grouping works best with email and i haven't seen other email providers give that capability. I also helps a lot when you've got to email a lot of responses back and forth. the 2GB+ space is also a plus. =)

I always had had yahoo, but recently I got a gmail acct that seems to be working great. I likethe functionality to save and classify messages plus the ability to chat as you say in your comment. Also the fact that storage sizes increases withtime is a nice feature although there is no way (besides spam) I will fill 2GB+ with emails

My first email account is Hotmail and I still use it until now. I think it's good, no more complicated functions. And usually it won't get blocked.

yahoo is the best due to its services and safety. gmail is worst in the safety part. but gmail account is necessary because of its integration with orkut, usenet forums, blogspot.com and many other sites. gmail account is quite helpful in that regard. a number of add-on functionalities are available with it, including pop3 and smtp service to configure your email client. these services are available in yahoo only for paid accounts not free ones. however, yahoo is quite realiable for those using it as an email account. moreover with the recent beta release people with fast internet connection(the number of which is gradually becoming more and more) can easily look up their email using a more intuitive interface. msn and hotmail accounts score average in case of security. they have usually a longer response time compared to yahoo servers. the messenger service of yahoo is still unmatched except for linux users who use IRC clients.

I think Yahoo's best. I have used all those you have given out as options but I left the other 3 because I believe yahoo is the user-friendliest.
