Came across this article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/231069/10_underrated_movie_villains.html Made me wonder who other people might pick as the top 10 most underrated movie bad guys...or bad guys that aren't as popular but really should be. Share your thoughts and bad guys and why you think they deserve more recognition.

Well I do agree with Simon Phoenix. He was a great bad guy. One I'd add in is Gary Oldman in The Fifth Element as Zorg. Tim Curry in just about any role he played in :) which are several and he's a great villain in all of them. Tommy Lee Jones in Under Seige was another great villain you don't hear much about along with Gary Busy as well. The werewolf in Silver Bullet. I can't think of who played him. The guy who played Dracula in Dracula 2000, he was exceelnt. Last, but not least is Alan Alada in Murder at 1600. You never picture him as the villain and he's excellent at it. He is the type that never thinks he's the bad guy.

Tim Curry in that was awesome. I also liked him in Stephen King's IT, MacHale's Navy, Annie, Legend, Fern Gully and so many more. He does play an excellent villain.

I agree with the Penguin as a underrated movie villian.A good verus evil film is only as good as the villian. If he/she isn't a powerful character, you won't like the film as must.My favorite villian is the one in Usual Suspects.

The guy from "The Passion".... Jim Caviezel playing Jesus the Christ...Horrible, Horrible Man.... Talking about the person Caviezel played.... Not Caviezel himself.

This topic made me remmeber of a old movie with Kiefer Sutherland and Jeef Bridges, The Vanishing. Jeff Bridges as a great role as the villain in this movie, a kidnaper, who toys around with the obsessed husband of one of his victims, even if the movie it is not a masterpiece, Bridjes goes wonderfully as the meticulous and unbalanced Barney Cousins, and this role is so distinct from the rest of his work, that got stuck in my mind.

I would add John Lithgow twice, once for Ricochet and once for Cliffhanger, Ricardo Montalban as Kahn, the bad guy in Passenger 57, I don't remember his name. The aliens in War of the Worlds, the aliens in aliens movies. The mummy and Lord Voldemorte from Harry Potter are a few I can think of.

That's a cool idea. I don't think some of those deserve to be there but I am unsure of whom would be better... I'm not very good at that sort of thing lol
