should smoking be banned?

we all know smoking is dangerous to one's health, but there are still millions and millions of people who continue to smoke. these people have their own right to choose what to do with their own bodies and we have no say in what they want to do. but there are some governments who are attempting to ban the production of cigarettes so that their citizens will finally stop smoking. but is it right? should we not let other people decide for themselves? but if they decided for themselves, should we allow them to destroy the healthy, beautiful body that was given them? what are your opinions on this?
