What Unique Things Does Your Cat Do?

Every cat has their own personality. Does your cat(s) do something 'all their own' that's good or bad? Our cat Anna Belle (pictured in avatar), likes to play with her food. She places her paw in her bowl, scoops out a piece of hard cat food, and bats it around the floor before eating it. I'm always finding pieces of cat food that she's missed laying on the floor. Another thing she does 'sometimes' is she'll dip her paw into her water bowl, and then lick the water from it ... too cute. Tell us what 'special' things your kitty does, and please feel free to share your cat's name, and a photo, if you wish. Thanks for any and all responses.

I have four cats, sheeba, pearl, junior and zarra, they all have their special ways. They play with the food and their water. Pearl sleep with a stuff dog, it is so cute seeing her head on it. Junior will know when he is bad and put himself on punishment.

I assume zarra is a male winterose? That's really cute about the stuffed dog. How does Junior put himself on punishment ... just curious? Thank you for sharing, as always.

no zarra is a female, they are all sweet cats. And they all have their own personalities as well.

I had two cats till about 6 years ago, and I still miss them. I would always do my pinning and cutting of patterns on the floor and the older one, Princess, would always get up on my back and stay as long as I was working. You always knew when she was eating, as she smacked a lot and you could hear her all over the house. But she loved 'people' food and the other one wouldn't touch it, had to have kitty food. The older one had a nasty habit of being nosey and going into the neighbors garage with them, and when they came out they would shut her in. When she had been missing for a few hours I always knew to ask them to get her out. She loved to find a mouse to play with, and she would keep it on the lawn for the longest while. She would eventually kill them but would never eat them. She preferred the birds, much to my chagrin. The younger cat would sit in the window and chatter to the birds, but could never get the knack of catching them, which was much better.

I'm sorry you don't have your cats anymore sasklily. Princess sounds like she was a real sweetheart. Your older cat sounds like my sister's kitty, as she gets into their garage at times, and ends up shut in there. My cat would love to be able to get at mice and birds, but she can't as she's an indoor cat. She'll sit at the window and chatter away to the birds too. It's great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing this.

I've taught my Fluffy how to say Ma. Sometimes he'll say Ma-Ma. Sorry, but I don't know how to put a picture of my cat on this website, but I would like to know how it's done.

That's a really great trick that you've taught Fluffy. I don't think we can upload photos on here until we've reached 500 posts. Thanks for your response.

My cat have different unique things. Some of them are good things and some are bad things. I'll start with the good things: My cat, Tomy, play with his food especially with the sausage. He never eat the sausage before playing with it. Anytime when he find the closet open he jump in and sleep on my clothes. And the bad things are: He destroyed one of my bad because every day he scratch all the bed, and this thing seems to like him . Every night he meowing loud until someone wake up and pet him. This is a bad habit because it make me crazy.

Tomy sounds so cute! We're fortunate that Anna Belle loves to use her scratch post. She sometimes meows loud in the morning, and tries to wake us up before it's time. Thanks for your response.

my cat sangor is our alarm clock in the morning. One time we wrongly alarmed the clock for pm instead of am. waking up in the morning is very hard specially when you can't sleep early. then he started to meow so loud, so we walk up to calm him down or to see why he screamed loud. then looking at the clock i'm already 5mins late from my alarm.

Our cat likes to sleep a lot too! Lotte is a nice name, and Padie is a great nickname. Do you mean the word unique? Another word for this, is the word special. Hope this helps. Thanks for your answer.

When I take a nap on my living room sofa, my cat climbs the bookshelf and jumps on me when he knows I am asleep. Does anyone else's cat know when they are sleeping, and choose that moment to go nuts? LOL

It must really startle you to have him jump on you like that. Does he have his claws? Our cat Anna Belle (pictured in Avatar), likes to jump on my bed, to 'wake me' early in the morning. She comes up, and peeks in my face to see if I'm sleeping, meowing (sometimes), but always purring loudly. If I don't want to 'have to' get up with her, I just keep my eyes closed and she's 'fooled.' She then leaves the bed, or lays at the bottom. Too cute.:) Thanks for your response.
