internet money making is a fair job?

Now a days, lot of people giving their referral address to their friends and relatives for the part time tobs like internet surfing and getting paid.
How long one can actually believes in such a process and makes a member chain by referring to his frineds and also surfing websites for downloading softwares and filling forms etc. for getting paid.
