To have no debts. In other words to be able to pay for everything in cash.

I do not think pay everything in cash is a good way.i like credit card.and i want to pay as more as possible with it.then pay all the card bill with cash.

I agree it is probably not good to carry cash around. I do prefer a debit card over a credit card and that way I avoid any finance charges if I can't pay off my credit card.
