The average woman takes from 6 to 12 months to conceive so don't worry yet. If you make it to a year and have not conceived, then see your doctor for testing...just to be sure you don't have secondary infertility. Chances are, you are just overly anxious because you want another baby. Allow yourself the next four months and try to relax. If you continue to have problems, I would be happy to post all the infertility guidelines for you. (I'm an R.N. and suffered infertility for 9 years.)

the best thing would be to go to your obgyn, they can tell you if something is wrong and discuss what methods you should are should not consider.

Many doctors will not start an infertility work up on anyone under 35 who has not tried for one year to get pregnant. If you are 35 or older, they will start testing after 6 months.

Hi there, This was my experience too, although I had a number of miscarriages and it took me 3 years to conceive my second child. When I was investigating what could be going wrong, I was repeatedly told that having one child already, made my chances of having another in the future very good. I hope it works out for you. Where I live you are not considered to be having fertility difficulties until it's been over a year.

There could be a ton of things wrong... but more likely, just bad timing. It can take a normal, healthy couple up to a year or longer to get pregnant. You only have a 25% chance of pregnancy each month. We tried for 3 1/2 years before we got pregnant. After having my 1st I developed post-partum thyroid issues and also taking the pill caused me to stop ovulating. I would give it the year - maybe start tracking your cycles and if nothing happens, go see a OB/GYN! Goodluck!

The reasons for not getting pregnant a second time would be: 1.Blockage in fallopian tube which coulkd have caused by an infection 2.Polycystic ovarian disease. 3.Fibroids 4.The ovaries do not produce eggs, or these may be defective. 5.The fallopian tubes or the tubes that transfer the egg from the ovary to the uterus may be blocked or non-functional. This may happen in cases of infections like tuberculosis, endometriosis, or previous surgery of tubes or ovaries. 6.The uterus and cervix normally produce a thin discharge. If this mucous is excessively thick or contains substances that kill the sperms, then this prevents sperms from swimming through it into the uterine cavity and then to the tubes. 7.Distorted or partially blocked uterine cavity as in fibroids. But let us hope that none of these could be the problem.Consult a doctor and get your hormone levels also checked.

consult with your ob-gyn to know if there's anything physically wrong. but sometimes it's simply stress. and stress could simply be your being anxious to get pregnant soon. why not relax and enjoy your lil boy for awhile? some things happen when you least expect them.

Don't think about it. Just relax and enjoy making the baby and eventually you'll get one!

Just because you want a baby doesn't mean that you're going to conceive. Sometimes it just takes time. Keep at it. It will happen.

i had two children with no problem they are now 5 and 7. we decided we wanted another baby, but i couldn't get pregnant this time. my doctor prescribed clomid to help me get pregnant. my emotions went crazy because of the hormones but it worked with the second round. usually if you've been trying for at least six months your doctor will help you. good luck.

i think u must get ur husband checked for the density of sperm count because that falls with age in men and leads to the inability to produce sufficient sperm count required for fertilization. There are medicines which might help

A lot of times it takes a year or more to concieve naturally even if both partners are healthy. You have already concieved once before so I think the most important thing for you to do is relax and let nature takes its course. Good Luck!

Wow, there could be a million different things that are wrong. Maybe it's because of your eating habbits, medication, or stress. Any of these could be the culprits. I suggest going to your doctor to find out.
