Study and live abroad(at a family) for the summer,

Hello students,today my english teacher told me that i could study in UK and live for free at a family for 1-2 months...i am interested about that,does someone tell me something more about that?

If possible do it. You can see and learn a lot about a foreign country, learn better English and if you can write in a resume that you have been abroad that helps you in finding a job.
You learn different customs and make new friends.
You will come home with a lot of new impressions and knowledge. So if possible: Go!
