I'm calling the TOP 2 right now!

hi serene My prediction for top 2 are Lakisa and Melinda, the audiences and voters like powerhouse vocals. Even with their less-endowed looks, I still think they got what it takes to be the final 2. The dark horse for this season is Jordan, can you imagine she's only 17 years old? That's is a talent full of potential for the music industry. Blake is another breadth of fresh air in this season's competition. For Chris and Phil, sadly, the remaining field of competitors are just too strong for them.

My prediction is Jordin/Melinda or Jordin/Blake with Jordin winning.

I agree with everything you wrote. As much as I like looking at Chris - I've faced the fact that he's just not good enough to win this contest and he doesn't deserve to. IF Blake continues to shine like he did tonight (and not how he was the past 2 weeks) then he has a real shot at winning or at least getting the top 2. The way he performed last night is the way I want him to perform on a regular basis. He has something very special about him when he pulls out all the stops. He very much fits the mold for what is popular today with the 'teen' crowd. He reminds me of a singer from the 80s but I can't put my finger on who. He has that whole 80s vibe about him. Jordin is my choice to win (although I disliked last nights performance by her). You hit Melinda and LaKisha on the head with your description of them. Very 'old' style and I can't help to think that if either of them actually wins this, they will have the same success that either Rueben or Fantasia have - which isn't saying much in the area of high selling albums. Just because they have powerhouse vocals does it mean they will be successful with record sales. Sure, in this type of show - everyone wants the one with these outstanding voices to win but those same people won't run down to the store and buy the album when it comes out. That's how they seem to fizzle out. The only winners that have made it, in my opinion, are Kelly and Carrie. Neither of them were powerhouses but they were very much marketable and able to be molded vocally. I don't see that happening with Melinda or LaKisha - I do however see that happening with Jordin. Poor Phil is just being left in the dust even though I really think he can sing and I believe he'll get a record deal in the country industry when this is all over. I mean, if Bucky Covington can get a song played on the country stations then I'm sure Phil can.

I would like to see Phil and Jordin in the top two. I really don't think that it will be either of them. I think it will be Blake and Melinda. I really don't want to see Melinda win this season,but I think that she may. She is a powerhouse,but I don't think she is an Idol. Jordin could be molded into a star but I think if she is they will change her like Kelly. I really liked Kelly but I feel that winning Idol and becoming a star made her change a lot.She doesn't have the same look or attitude that she did when she won Idol. I think that Lakisha is too much like Fantasia and I never liked her. I did like Lakisha at the beginning,but she just doesn't have the talent that it takes to win. She has been really disappointing lately. Blake does too much beat boxing for me but I believe that is why he will be a star in whatever he does as younger fans will like that.

I am right there with you !! I really enjoy listening to Blake and Jordin is very talented and has this sparkle in her eyes. A little something extra. I like the others (except Chris) but I don't think they will make it through to the end. Melinda is very good, but she lacks personality I think. Lakisha is so much like many others I have heard before. Phil has a nice voice, for country or rock, which should be the avenue he pursues after Idol. I really don't think Chris has much of a voice. He always sounds nasally, not to use Simon's words, but he is right. I don't care what others say about Blake not being talented. The boy is a born performer and I think he would have a huge following and awesome concerts.

I have to say that I think I agree with you on this. I love Melinda and Lakisha, but I'm not sure that they have a strong enough voting base to keep them going all the way through, although I believe that they will both be recording stars any way. Jordin seems to be a favorite with the judges, that's for sure and Blake is a huge favorite of the audience.

I think that's possible, but I think that Melinda will beat out Blake to be in the finals with Jordin. I think it's all very interesting. I never watched this show before this season and it's been wildly entertaining.

I have to disagree with Jordan. I think it will be Melinda and Blake. Melinda's voice is perfect no matter what genre they are working on for that week. She hits all the notes perfectly. There's only been a few idol contestants that can control their voice like she does.

I will back you up on this I agee they are the best 2 Blake and Jordin and the 2 I voted for last night and many times before.

I believe the top two will be Melinda and Blake. They both have a great voice and are marketable.
