The 3 Hour Diet

Hi everyone. I am starting to do the 3 hour diet, not exactly by the book, but just making sure to eat every 3 hours as to not put my body into starvation mode so it stores fat. I think this concept makes a lot of sense and I've been hearing for some time now about how it's healthier to eat more small meals a day, then 3 big meals. Has anyone tried this type of diet or eating pattern? How has it worked for you? How much have you lost if any? THANKS!
