Do you barter?

Do you trade with people things that you are good at?
I cut hair and design tattoo for people in trade for jewelry and food, I feel that it is a great way for everyone to get what they want for little to no money. All of the people I know are just as financially strapped as we are, so it just make sense. My husband doesnt always like the barter system because he wants money in hand. For me it is doing something I like and still having fun with it and getting something for it at the same time that will help out our family as well.
What do you think of the barter system? Do you do it, and what do you barter?? I would love to know.

I often work on the barter system, I bake cakes for friends and they repay me with other things. Sometimes I think we would all benefit from working on a barter system, but money makes the world go around, so the song says.

I agree with you - I would love it if everything was done this way. AS I am sure that is how it all started thousands of years ago - If only it could have stayed so simple. Thanks for you imput!
