Hello friends!I was wondering how Sigmund Freud, the father of modern psychology and who has great contributions in this field, always ends up relating everything that the human mind thinks in terms of ssexuality?I was shocked when recently I read that according to Freudians, the typical "Mama's boy" who has been overprotected and overloved by his mother, has an unconscious desire to kill his father and marry his mother - called the oedipus complex and on similar lines is the electra complex in the case of females. What do you people have to say about this? So do you agree with him?

They are interconnected, but the Freudist point of you is a bit little fanatical. Then more that his works are way to surpess his own psychological problems. Carl Yung is more broadminded. The archetipes what are rooted in the people`s psyche never are core and total, they are mixed. So this idea that "Mama`s boy" is sexually attracted to his mamma and wants to kill his dad are far away from the truth.
