Why do people often like Gen pen more than Fountain?

i always prefer Gel pens..because they are not that messy as of fountain ones plus fountain pens have one more problem they can run out of ink anytime..gel pens too but we can simply buy another one right away whereas fountain pens have problem in filling inks and they are more messy..but no matter what if you write with fountain one your writing is much more good than of gel pens.So i usually carry gel ones and i like them
