no, i do not think so. after all, 300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..

300 was a very good movie based on the Graphics, Visuals... Technically it was the most satisfying one. But sticking to the reality it had a lot more to offer. Persia was a Great Country and the Story of 300 Spartans facing the immense army of Persians is really inspiring. But to show this fact the Movie makers have twisted the story, made persians look like perverts and what not. I dont think that part was needed in the story. In that regard it was a big disappointment. It happened to depict History in its own terms. I am not surprised Persia has banned this Movie. It really hurts when someone depicts you in a way you are not... and when its in a demeaning way.

i am not racist and I have friends of MANY backgrouds and i think its beyond ridiculous that the persian people have reacted the way they have, i mean come on, people did bad things, some were white some werent, i think anyone that sees a movie and is offended by it should jsut remember that they have a right to tell people they didnt like it for whatever reason just as much as the director had to film it. if every movie that was made had no bad guys and didnt take "poetic license" life would be boring
