Last night my daughter moved a piece of wood and a lizard came out from under it. Now I know for some places that might be normal but I have lived in Nebraska all my life and have never seen such a thing. We went online to see if we could find what it was and found that it is a racerunner lizard. I guess they live in areas not far from us but have never seen one here. Not sure I can handle lizards in my back yard!! Look at the ugly little thing. Is it possible to get rid of lizards???

Take a cat or dog, adopt one to be sure if it has some sort of a hunter instinct and then let it roam the backyard. They can be quite efficient in doing that from time to time. But it's not like lizards are a bad thing, they eat many of the smaller creepy crawlers so.

Good advice. I wonder if doing that will get rid of the snakes too. I really really hate things that crawl around my back yard.

Well I don't know of any ways of getting rid of them. I wouldn't want to anyway! I love lizards and often have them as pets. They are harmless and acutually helpful! They will eat bugs around your home, so you might want to keep them around.
