Books hands down. I don't really like the movies, but I'm such a huge fan I saw them all of them on opening day. I still can't get over how they made James look! Bah! But I think it's just that'd I've read the books so much that I expect too much when I go to see movies. Like I wonder if they've left my favorite parts or key need to know things outs. The rest of my family and most of my friends who have never picked up the books love the movies.

the books are better becuase they go into more detail than the movies, for excample the last movie if you didntread the book you would be lost,it didnt show the important parts of the storie, like harry being immune to the imperious curse or the golden dome when he fought voldemort

As much as I love the movies of Harry Potter, the books are much better, they are more descriptive and obviously there are parts in the books which aren't in the movies (as it would make them too long). You see the world of Harry Potter as the author intended you to see it in the books.

Definitely the books. The movies are great, but they can't fit everything in the book into the movie, and most of the time, those little things that they cut out are the ones that makes the book magical and funny.

the books of course, the movies are great, but you don't get that detail that exists in books. The books are so descriptive and fantastic.
