I don't post my photo. The reason is when I got set up on this site, I didn't have any good photos of me to post, so I used a sunset. I have never changed it. There is no reason for this, but it is easy to locate my part of a discussion with my sunset,so I am sticking with it.

Same here. I have no photos of me. Plus when you are given a printer and that is all it is, just a plain old, old printer have no camera and no way to download photos then what are you suppose to do? That is why I use my cat photos, since I am partcial to cats and wish I could have mine back. I have put in my photos pics of other things also. But I am real as real can be. Plus I like the cat that I have since hubby says I steal the remote for the TV.

Yes. I want to see a face. But it is not important. Maybe one of the reason why i'm here and sharing my views is because you can't see me. lol.

I think althougth you don't post your photo, you always post something you like or you feel related, and a photo in avatar size has just a few pixels and has not as much resolution to actually recognize the details of a face or the expression... specially if you don't have a firs plan image, but an american plan like your own avatar. I mean, if I saw you on the street, it would be hard to recognize you just because I have seen your photo avatar. So it is more or less the same that having a sunshine avatar, I can imagine that person likes nature or such, as I can imagine a little of you from your photo. So to give you a conclusion, I think avatars are just a happy way of expression that never shows much real information, and I would like to meet in real life that great persons that day by day keep answering my things, like you :).
