Who would you chose to "hang with" on Lost?

If you were one of the Losties (castaways), who would you be friends with? What guy/girl would you want to be with? Who would you avoid?
For me, I would probably be friends with Sun, Jin, and Rose first. My second tier of friends would probably be Claire, Charlie, Hurley and Art. None of the guys on this show really stand out for me, but I think Locke and I would be most compatible (despite the "Mr. Clean" look), but I think he has some mental issues that would annoy me. I would probably avoid Sawyer and Kate, and really not associate with Jack too much, either. Sayyid really creeps me out because of what he used to do to people.

Hmmm good question! I like Hurley a lot. He's a good, gentle person but sometimes he's a little too...mmm what would you call it? He goes along with things that he maybe shouldn't just to try and keep the peace? I'd hang with him but have to put my foot down sometimes.
I think Sun and Jin are good people too. I'd definitely hang out with either of them! Sun for girlie talk and Jin for fishing! I'd feel confident thinking that they'd watch my back for me too.
Rose I could definitely be friends with! She's a very sweet, loving, wise old gramma type.
Personally I'd be friends with Sayid too, I think! A person's past doesn't matter to me, only their present. I think he regrets his past and tries to be a gentle person now but isn't afraid to kick some butt if it needs kicking!
I could maaaaybe be friends with Desmond. Sometimes I feel like he plays things a bit too close to his chest for me to fully trust him but I can understand and forgive a little reserved weirdness from someone who had visions like he does.
I don't think I'd like or trust anyone else. The whole Kate-Sawyer-Jack-Juliette drama would just be too much for me! They're always scheming, wheeling and dealing too much. And I think the games Kate's playing are just wrong! It's like a little girl playing games with divorced parents. If one makes you mad you just run to the other. She sleeps with Sawyer (and is using him, IMO) then gets jealous of Juliette? Grow up, ya brat! Claire tends to be too judgemental for my tastes. I could never forget what Charlie did to Sun. (SPOILER AHEAD: stop reading here if you haven't seen this week's show!!) Locke plays his own games and treats people like chess pieces too often. If I were Sawyer I'd probably kill Locke for what he did last night! What a s.o.b.!! He can't kill his father so he sets someone else up to do it for him then merrily goes his way to the others to claim it as his work????? Grrrr!

I don't know if Locke deserves to be killed by Sawyer. In fact, I think it was good for Locke to do what he did because Sawyer spent his whole adult life thinking about what that guy did to him. I hope things are different now that he knows he got his revenge. I can't wait to see if there is a change in Sawyer now that a big part of his life is over.

Heh that's just me projecting my own personality onto a fictional character! Personally I would feel wracked with guilt and anger over it. Since it's tv there's no telling what changes we'll see in Sawyer now that he's gotten his revenge. If the show holds close to life, though, I believe that Sawyer will find that the revenge isn't all he made it out to be in his mind all this time. I think that he may find himself haunted by his heat of passion crime just from his reactions right after the killing. It'll definitely be interesting to see which way it goes!

I'd probably hang w/ Sun during the day and while Jin is off w/ the fellas. At night I'd camp near Sayeed & Jack.."just in case" something jumped off. I'd probably eat meals w/ Hurley for the levity and access to the good food. Spend time w/ Claire and the baby just to be around something positive and fulfilling in watching a child grow.

oh and I'd go to the bathroom w/ Kate b/c she would hopefully have my back if something came out of the bushes...sorry but I'm not going out to the bushes on that Island and getting caught w/ my pants down.

I think I would hang out with Hurley. The guy makes me laugh and is an absolute teddy bear. I'd probably be friends with Sun too as she just seems so sweet.
I would love to have a randez-vous with Sawyer, but it would probably end up in a big fight because his ego would probably piss me off.
I'd probably avoid Locke because he has some major mental issues and daddy issues. He scares me. No way on the Kate thing. Women on power trips don't interest me. The same with Jack. His ego would turn me off.
I think I would be friends with Charlie, Desmond and Sayid, but not sure how much I would confide in them. Claire doesn't interet me much but I would most likely still be civil to her.

I like Hurley, too. But, he seems too laid back for me, but I would still like to be his friend. I think Locke and I would be compatible because he's extremely intelligent and hard working but, you're right, he does have some mental issues that would make me back away. I agree with Jack and Sawyer on the ego thing. Kate is just not the type of person I tend to "hang" with. Claire would be neutral to me, too, but I would like her.
