Some Responders are Way too Rude.

OK so the story is I thought of a new way to increase my earnings with a few other sites and I got really excited about it so I posted it in the Make Extra Money section here on mylot. I thought it was a great idea. But someone just ripped me apart for no reason. Rather than telling me why i was wrong they just came out and said. This guy is a fraud and we should punish him by ignoring him. I happen to think that was very rude and unproductive. I was just trying to share a new idea with people. It's not my fault if it was a bad one or someone dissagrees. Do you guys ever get that type of unjustified response here? And if so what do you do about it?

I went over to the other discussion so I could read for myself what he wrote. Yes he was way out of line. I don't care if the links shouldn't be posted there is still no reason to treat others in such a fashion. You will find that there are some on line who are rude. It wouldn't matter what you had posted, if they didn't like it they would slame you and they'd be wrong for it. Try not to let them get to you. On a side note you might want to read through the guidelines. Putting referral links up in a discusions is not allowed. It's under the don't section of the discussion guidelines. You can find a link to the guidelines at the bottom of any page. Good luck with future postings.

Thanks for the info. It seems I am too late anyway. that particular discussion has been deleted. Oh well lot of time and effort lost. Now that i know about the referral link deal I'll be more careful when I get excited about a subject.

You're quite welcome. I hope things get better for you here. I know you are fairly new by your rate count. This is a great place over all and I'm sure you'll meet more good people then anything.

I'm brand new here so no. EVERYONE has the right to post whatever they want AS LONG AS IT IS WITHIN THE GUIDELINES AND RULES OF THIS SITE. So, whoever it was that told you off had no reason to do so. I myself have found some really good sites here that others have posted, BUT, the one mistake you may have made was not checking it out before you posted it. Still that person could have told you in a nicer way. So don't you worry about it and don't let it affect your posting.

Oh yes sometimes we get these kind of responses but when some one is rude to us what I do is give a negative rating and if they keep going then I will report them but in most cases they never come back again that is why I have found in 5 months that I have been here so I hope this helps you.

True that Badaiprk. It seems like whenever you harm someone it does come back on you. Perhaps not through another person but a bad attitude can keep you from finding the positive things in life. I try to follow that rule as frequently as possible.

I have that happen to me once in the time I have been coming here. I chose to ignore it. It is not worth my time or trouble to rebut it. Everyone here knows you were just trying to be helpful. It is not your fault if the site is a bad one. There is never any reason for someone to be rude here. That is not what this site is all about. You have the right to disagree but in a nice way. Pointing out what you know. So just know with as many people come here you are bound to get those kind of people and just ignore them.

Don't let these people get to you. As with any site such as this, you'll get the odd person who is rude and inconsiderate. I haven't had this experience myself but I have noticed that some members, especially the ones with more posts under their belt, tend to be a little rude and abrupt sometimes. I'm not sure why that is. If I were in your shoes and someone ripped me apart like that, I'd respond with a "Thanks for responding. Have a nice day." and leave it at that. There's no point in starting a flame war with anyone, because ultimately, it'll result in your post being deleted. With a response like that, you're showing maturity in that you refuse to be drawn into an argument and flame war. Ignore them. They're not worth the hassle.

You mean you posted a discussion and someone slammed you down for it? Without the discussion, it is hard to judge. But if you have put it in an open manner, I would agree that those who slammed down hard at you could do better by being nicer.

Yes this is the first time this has happened to me so I was quite shocked but do to all the responses and great advice I've been given in this discussion I think everyone has hit the nail right on the head. Perhaps we just shouldn't dignify these people with a response. And use the golden rule.
