Shower gel or bar of soap?

Shower gel all the way! I like using that poof thing, whatever the heck it's called, and lots of gel get big lather that way. A bar of soap and a washcloth pale in comparison.

I have voth in my shower. I use bady wash most of the time because I find that all bar soaps dry my skin out. I do however use the bar soap after I work out or work in the yard and get really dirty or sweaty becuase bar soap in my opinion cleans the best. But if I had to choose one I would stick with bady wash, especially the kind with lotion in it.

Like you I usually opt for the shower gel cleanser. It is so easy to use - a little bit goes a long way. The scrungie helps to exfoliate better than washcloths do and I won't drop it onto the shower floor like a bar of soap. :)

I like to use shower gel occasionally but it somehow always leaves me so slippery that I felt like I haven't rinsed very well so I always end up staying a few extra minutes in the bathroom, and yeah, I agree that it does lather better. But if I'm showering for work, I just use the ordinary bar of soap so I won't take a long time rinsing.

I prefer using shower gel but I have both. I only use a bar of soap to wash my hands after using the toilet or if I run out of shower gel. Shower gel lathers up more than a bar of soap and it doesn't dry up my skin that much.

Well, I used to use the Irish Spring bar soap for a long time until they recently came out with the gel. I still have both in the shower but I reach for the gel first now. I'll still use the bar every once in a while just to get that old feeling back. My mind is made up...gel it is.

I tend to use Dove bar soap. It is gentle on my skin and it laters very well with my scrubber. I have a body scrubber that lathers very well, All I have to do is put the bar of soap inside of the scrubber and it lathers very well. I use it because it seems to last much longer for me.

I use both- I know I’m weird! I get in the shower and lather up my washcloth with a bar of soap- I love the way Lever 2000 smells! I then wash my 2000 body parts! Lol I wash my hair and my face then I use the shower gel on a scrunchy sponge thing and wash! I like to leave my body smelling of the bath & body works soap! So I use both! Even in the bathtub I use both!

I prefer the shower gel, it seems to be less messy and wasteful than a wet bar of soap melting away from being wet. I also think that shower gels rinse off better than bar soap, and leave the skin in better condition.

Actually, I use both and I like for the fragrances to be the same for me bar soap, shower gel, and lotion. With the shower gel, I use a mesh sponge, but I don't feel as clean if I don't use the soap first. The soap is like my base, that I use everywhere and the the shower gel, I use for a fresher feeling. For years, I have not been able to wear one without the other. I just don't feel as clean. I know that it is probably just a mental thing, but that is the way it hast to be. I like the scents at Bath & Body Works. They have a large variety and most of it smells really good. I also don't care much for taking baths anymore, for a lot of different reasons, but mainly because I do not have the time. With a shower, you just turn the water on and jump in.

I use bar soap. It may not lather as well, but I am happy with my current bar soap (Ivory) and I'm sticking with it! :) LOL

I still use Ivory...mainly for the reason, that it is 99.9% pure and of course...it floats! LOL! My kids think that it is magic soap and seem to spend more time in the tub too!

Body wash for me. I just love it. If i run out and forget to buy more i use the bar soap but I really don't like it as much.

I use bar soap its cheaper than liquid or gel.
