Disaster is good or bad in life?

Someone say it's good to experience disaster, since you'll be more strong, more powerful after it. Most of so called sussessful peope experieced hard time, they learn from disaster. But there's a question, are you strong enough to bear the disaster?

I believe that by disaster our life become meaningful and stronger
