Are Blog carnivals a good way to get Traffic for your blog?

What is the verdict? Do blog carnivals increase traffic to ones blog? Do they create good exposure? What is your opinion?

I have just checked the link you give. In my opinion it's a good place to expose your blog. But it has nothing special features. It just like any others website for example blogcatalog, mybloglog and such. But, I will look into it more when I have a time.
