What's happening? Early this morning I decided to access my account with e-gold. I don't understand why do this message appear whenever I try to log in:
Unable to login to account.
Access denied
The IP you are using to access the e-gold website (125.60.241.170) appears to be either an open proxy or otherwise exploited. You will not be permitted to access e-gold services from this IP while this condition continues.
Your first order of business to restore access should be to make sure that you are computing securely. Please read and implement e-gold's Security Recommendations.
After you have resolved any security issues, including virus removal, it may take a day or two for your access to be re-enabled.
Does it happen to anyone here? I need your comment and help with this matter. This is the first time that I have encounter this situation. Please guide me.
Thank you so much!

I am not sure what is happening but it seems that some security checks is in place. Perhaps it is your IP address that is causing some issue. The IP address that you used to register your e-gold account might be differnet from the one you are trying to login now. I would advise you to read the e-gold Security Recommendations and carry out any recommendations or contact e-gold for assistance. Sorry I am not able to assist in this aspect.

I've had that problem for a few days now, and I was frustrated because I could not access it. So I went to the sites listed, and I found out that my IP address was listed as an open proxy, or sent a scam email to one of the sites listed. Naturally, I was dumbfounded, but I followed the instructions on the sites and managed to remove all of the blocks except one. And this one was unsolvable, because it required my IP address to have a reverse DNS pointer (a DNS is the address of your IP registered to your server, and a reverse DNS simply means that your IP address must route back to your host server and vice versa), which I don't have, because my host provider, Smart bro, does not give it out( heck, I tried calling their tech department, but they don't even know hoe to help me), so I got stuck and unable to access my e-gold account. I spent a couple of anxious nights trying to figure out how I can access it, until one of my frinds told me that "If the problem is with your IP address, then go change it." So I went to the nearest internet shop that I can find, and true enough, I was able to access egold on their computers. As of now I've given up all hope of accessing it through my computer, at least until I can be able to switch to another host provider that can provide me with a different IP address. I hope this answers your queries. Have a nice day, and if you find this useful, please rate it. Thank you!!

Really? I also use "smartbro" connection. It might be the problem why we can't access the site. I'm planning to try accessing it with other computer this week. I'm glad to hear that we could still access it with the help of other IP address. Thank's for those information you have shared!

I have encountered this kind of problem twice already, and I hope there won't be a third time. Anyway, what you can do is have your IP delisted from DNS. Follow the instructions given by the following sites: www.au.sorbs.net, www.ahbl.org, www.spamhaus.com. It will take two days before the system can take care of the matter. But if you can't do it, I have found another way. I found out that since the IP's change everytime you open the computer, the next day you open it you'll be using another IP, so it is possible that you can already access your account from there. That is what I am doing now. Yesterday, I encountered the same problem again and I was frustrated. I waited till today before I opened my e-gold account again, and sure enough, I was able to access it.
