I think about this often. I have a masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I decided to stop working when my child was 2 and became a stay at home mom. I needed some income, so I then opened a daycare in my home. I think that to an extent my degree helps me get the parents trust to leave their kids with me.

yeah, being a parent is really a special calling.. it's teaching the person you'd value most.. your own kid.. and i think your course helped a lot not on your job, but on your being... c: have a nice day!

My whole thought on this is "It is not what you know but who you know." I doo not have a diploma but my husband does and he does not even work in the field in which he has the diploma in. But he was paying student loans for most of his life.
