Should the ratings system be thrown out since people are clearly abusing the system and have nothing better to do? Or should there be some sort of penalty for the people who rate a response negative when there is no reason to do so? I think the former of the two is best, just scrap the system altogether. Besides, what good is the system anyway? Seriously, it does nothing to effect your earnings and is really quite useless if you ask me. If people can follow the rules, the system works. If people cannot follow the rules, the "Star" should be thrown out b/c the system is broken. I have no idea why some people cannot follow the rules. Who agrees or disagrees with me? Please share your thoughts.

See that star by my name? That is the rating sys. If you position your mouse over the star you will see something like a/b, where "a" is a percentage of b or 100%. You will have a star when you reach 100 posts. You are being rated now, which is the + and - but you won't be able to see it until you reach 100 posts.

Thanks God the rating doesn't affect our earnings. Some people give negative ratings just for fun. It's so easy to rate someone, you don't even have to answer a discussion or to comment before giving a rate. So if someone does not like you, they will just go to all your discussions that you started/answered or commented and they will just hit the - button or even the ! button. One time I answered a discussion about religion. I usually don't answer those discussions about politics and religion. But that one discussion caught my eye and I thought it was so wrong to spread false things about any religion. So I answered and of course my answer was against the person who started the discussion... Well I had a rating of 10 at that time and the very next day it dropped to 9. I took me a long time to get it back to 10. Now I don't care, as long as it doesn't affect y earnings. But I do agree at least they can make it harder for people to rate for example, they would allow only people who answer can rate. So instead of just hitting the buttons, they will have to answer first lol
