Many people do not keep track of petrol consumption by their vehicle. I have also seen people keeping a log book wherein they enter meter reading of the car, how much petrol they purchased, what is the consumption of the petrol per month and also how many miles that vehicle gave during that period. Do you keep such a book for your vehicle petrol and milage etc.,

I have a new car, all I have to do is hit a button and it tells me how many miles per gallon I am getting from it, the average mph, and how many miles I have until I'm out of gas-I love it! My grandfather keeps a notebook about all this stuff, he's obsessed with it for some reason.

I keep track of mileage on a notepad in the glove box. I drive a propane powered car and the gas gauge doesn't work. It is a major hassle when we run out of propane and very costly. Gone are the days when you can just pull another propane car alongside and transfer propane through a double ended connection. Propane is a hassle but it is a lot cheaper than gas.
